Her man
So there he
stood almighty shining brightly on his way.
And
everyone that saw him, said he was worthy of their stay.
He lifted
doors and build them houses.
He even
rescued all their cats.
But she
filled the house with love.
And mended
all their scratch.
He walked
the world with confidence and pride was his alone.
For man
could never fail when he did it on his own.
He smiled
and talked for hours of all the wonders he could do.
She stood
behind and listened, even though she made her wonders to.
And she
walked the steps behind him trying to look small.
So all the
others could see her man so mighty and so tall.
But had
they stopped a second, to see the shadow standing there.
They would
have seen her whisper loving words into the man´s ear.
And maybe
they would´ve notice how she squeezed his hand with pride.
For all she
ever wanted was to see the man smiling by her side.
Even though
he never recognized her.
Never put
her in his praise.
Or mention
her at dinner.
And gave
her all his grace.
It doesn't mean
she wasn't as worthy as he.
It doesn't
mean she isn't as good to be.
For every
girl makes just as much wonders on their way.
And all
their voice´s has just as much important words to say.
So I will
raise my glass at dinner especially for you, my shadow friend,
For all the
women of the world but also every man.
And let us
all understand and recognise the power the equality brings
It gives
our world more wonders, so that it someday can grow wings.
